It Just Got Personal: What Personal Capture Means for Your Campus

Lecture capture is on the move — no longer confined to the classroom or lecture halls, or just the rooms that contain capture software and equipment. Echo360 redefines lecture capture with the introduction of personal capture software available in the latest version of the EchoSystem. With personal capture software, professors have the ability to create learning modules, screencasts and tutorials in their office, at home – everywhere inspiration strikes. The flexibility of the EchoSystem gives colleges and universities the option to capture in various environments, and the ability to consolidate the creation, management and delivery of educational content within one robust solution.

"Thanks to the extremely easy-to-use nature of the software and 'click to publish to the web' functionality, staff who have previously struggled with other packages are enthusiastically recording, editing and uploading a rapidly growing amount of material," said Martin Hill, iLecture systems manager at Curtin University of Technology. Hill predicts that the number of lectures, seminars and other resources recorded at Curtin will rise to 30-40,000 recordings annually with a significant portion of these captured by the EchoSystem personal capture software.

Echo360 Community Conference 2009: Conference Rewind

On June 3, Echo360 customers from across the US and abroad gathered in Lansdowne, Virginia for the first Echo360 Community Conference. Speakers from Purdue University, The University of Toledo, Coventry University and more shared their experiences with lecture capture implementations, student outcomes, and faculty adoption in a collaborative environment with the Echo360 community. Community members had the opportunity to learn more about the ins and outs of the EchoSystem, and interacted with the Echo360 team in product development discussions. And there was no shortage of networking and great food! Thanks to all of our participants for making the conference
a huge success!
