Frost & Sullivan Recognizes Echo360 with Product Line Strategy of the Year Award

If you can’t stand shameless self-promotion, stop reading right now! Echo360 is the proud recipient of the 2010 Global Frost & Sullivan Award for Product Line Strategy of the Year. While that may be a mouthful, it means that the need for variety in an all-in-one blended learning and lecture capture solution is critical for higher education.

And the EchoSystem does just that by offering four methods of recording content – “fixed classroom deployments using EchoSystem capture appliance and software, classroom-based capture through EchoSystem capture software, personal capture for capture occurring outside the classroom, and ingest of video and screen casts created with outside software tools and devices.” We’d like to thank all of our customers for continuing to rely on the global leader in lecture capture, and we look forward to providing you the best-in-class solution in 2011 and beyond.

Read more about the award in the press release.

"Overall, Echo360’s holistic approach to lecture capture is unsurpassed by any other vendor in the space and positions it as the imminent leader in the market.”

Good Things Happen in 3.0

Our new Chief Marketing Officer, Richard Taylor, keeps mentioning that good things happen in three’s. That’s true, especially when it comes to EchoSystem 3.0. This winter’s release is all about controlling academic media, with a little pizzaz:

Ooh la la – a new full rich-media player dresses up flexible layout options.

Jazz up your curriculum with external media ingest – upload video and screen recordings created with third-party software tools, and professional and consumer cameras into the EchoSystem.

Dress your lectures to impress – automated branding automatically applies intro videos, watermarks, copyright notices and logos to EchoSystem media formats

The spotlight’s on classroom-based, video-only capture – capture full standard-definition video (and audio) using the EchoSystem capture appliance

Revive an old lecture with “save as new” –  easily create learning snippets from existing lecture recordings with the web-based editor

Get a view from above – view granular capture and processing details in the enhanced system monitor
