It’s an evolution in the lecture capture revolution:
The EchoSystem Capture Appliance

MAKE YOUR SMART CLASSROOMS SMARTER
The EchoSystem capture appliance is easily installed in a podium or single unit of an equipment rack making it the hardware of choice for fixed classroom deployments at the lowest total cost of ownership. The EchoSystem platform also includes a software option for mobile capture environments and existing podium computers, giving institutions exible deployment options for every conceivable capture need.

DESIGNED TO SCALE
The capture appliance’s compact design, plug-and-play classroom installation, and Ethernet and VGA switching capabilities remove the barriers associated with scaling lecture capture at the facilities level. As an integrated component of the EchoSystem, technology staff can monitor capture status with a web-based interface and remotely update capture software for all appliances across the university.

AUTOMATICALLY CAPTURES THE CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE
Scheduled in advance by the EchoSystem server, the appliance reliably captures every lecture moment in a secure environment. Compatible with virtually any teaching technology, the appliance preserves instructor audio and video, and the course visuals from applications, document cameras, DVD players, Sympodiums, and more.

CREATES AN EXCEPTIONAL PLAYBACK EXPERIENCE
By leveraging AAC and H.264 encoding standards for audio, video and VGA sources, the appliance preserves a high-quality, full-fidelity version of the lecture. Once assembled by the EchoSystem, students can review rich media recordings on Windows, Mac, or Linux-based computers with only a Web browser and the free Flash player.

SECURE LECTURE CAPTURE
The EchoSystem capture appliance is built on a hardened, embedded Linux operating system, providing a highly reliable and secure environment without requiring IT sta intervention. The capture appliance also meets the physical security challenge via a number of mounting options, and integrated support for Kensington® style cable locks.

The EchoSystem capture appliance includes integrated A/V and network components for
easy installation into smart classrooms.
