The Central Wyoming College, located in Riverton, Wyoming has a unique challenge in that its nursing program extends across three vast counties and two campuses separated by 110 miles. Catering to a diverse population of rural students who have families, jobs, and, in some cases, treacherous commutes due to weather and terrain can prove difficult on retention numbers.
CWC needed to grow its nursing program to address the nursing shortage, while balancing the travel needs of its students. As a solution, CWC added podcasting - audio lecture replay including visuals – as a study aid for students.
In this webinar, you’ll hear Kathy Wells, Nursing Program Director, address how podcasting has created a more flexible learning environment for CWC nursing students, and the surprising impact on student performance on final exams.
